is a contemporary Japanese composer.
==Biography==
Hiroyuki Yamamoto was born in Yamagata Prefecture and grew up in Zushi, Kanagawa. He studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts and graduated in 1990. He completed his Master of Music in 1992 at the same conservatory, studying composition with Akira Kitamura, Jo Kondo, and Isao Matsushita. After graduating, he took a position at Iwate University in Morioka, Iwate.
Yamamoto was invited to participate in the Forum 91 in 1991 at the Université de Montréal in Montreal, Canada. His work was also performed at the International Gaudeamus Music Week in 1994. After he won the third prize of the Competition BMW Musica Viva in 1998, his selected work ''Canticum Tremulum I'' was premiered with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra of Munich in 2000.〔
